Our day trip to Nyerere National Park in Tanzania mainland is a perfect choice to experience a short African safari. The park, formally Selous game reserve, is home to many animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalos, hippos, crocodiles, zebra, wildebeest, and, on a lucky day, hyenas, leopard and the rare black rhino. Itinerary
Our professional driver will pick you up from your hotel in Stone Town to Zanzibar International airport early in the morning. You will fly to Nyerere national park, landing at Mtemere Airstrip inside the national park. Our Tour Guide will receive you at the airstrip and proceed to enjoy a full day of game drives and animal viewing in a modern 4*4 private open safari vehicle. Common animals found in this park include hippos, crocodiles, wildebeest, elephants, giraffes, lions, and zebras. On some occasions, you may also spot wild dogs, hyenas and leopards. In the afternoon, our tour guide will stop the safari vehicle so you can enjoy a hot picnic lunch and a bit of rest. The animal viewing experience will continue after lunch until around 3:20pm when you begin your drive back to the airstrip for your 4:00pm flight back to Zanzibar. Upon your arrival in Zanzibar, our professional driver will take you back to your hotel. End of safari service.
